Planning: Costume

For the costume for the Wind Up Doll, we have bought a dress from a charity shop and have decided to customise it by cutting it up and adding net to it to make it stick out.

The final dress now looks like this:

We have added flower details around the top of the dress to make it more doll like, and have managed to find a necklace that has is the same colour as the dress. We have also cut the bottom of the dress into points to make it shorter and more individual.
I am happy with the end result because I think that it looks suitable for the character that is going to be wearing it and will connote ideas suitable for our music video.


The only thing left to do on this dress is to add a key onto the back to make it look like a dress worn by a wind-up doll. This is being done by a friend, and we are in the process of organising the day that this is going to be done. 


















We have also put together a costume for Sam who is going to be playing one of the puppets:

We have chosen to use a theme of green throughout. The spots on the dress tie in with the spots on the cuffs of the blazer, and the colour of the necklace ties in with the whole outfit.
We have also added a flower to the pocket for extra detail, and plan to use flowers in Sam's hair which will tie the whole outfit together.
